Come share your passion, talent or expertise at our weekly Open Bike night at Portland’s hub of bike culture, VeloCult. Sign up starts at 7p, show at 8p, music/jam at 9p.

Q – What is the format?

A – Open Bike follows an open mic format from 8 to 9 PM and a hosted jam format from 9 to 10 PM with occasional bands and DJs in that time slot.

Q – Who can participate?

A – Open Bike is open to anyone with a passion, talent or expertise to share via film, music or spoken word. All acts are broadcast live on the internet, uncensored, and should be 10 minutes or less.

Q – Do I need to bring my own equipment?

A – No. We have a PA with 2 mics, a projector and a laptop to show videos and slideshows. Please email digital files in advance or bring them on flash drive.

Q– Does my act have to be about bicycles?

A – No. But have we mentioned we like bikes?

Q – How do I sign up?

A – Sign up is from 7 to 8 PM or by email to . If you are interested in jamming you may want to contact us in advance in case there is a band or dj scheduled.

Q – Where/What is VeloCult?

A – VeloCult is a tavern/bike shop located at 1969 NE 42nd Ave., in Portland.

Q – Can/should I bring my kids?

A – VeloCult is open to all ages. Open Bike is uncensored, so there may be some acts that are not appropriate for all ages.

Q – Is there beer?

A – Yes! Velocult has a variety of taps with a rotating selection of local craft brews and hard ciders, and an assortment of bottled beverages for sale. They also offer gourmet pour-over coffee.

Q – Is there food?

A – There is a snack bar, but you are welcome to bring your own meal.

Q – How much is admission?

A – Free!
